Social distancing the latest buzzword has taken the world by storm and has replaced words that dominated our lives like ‘global economic slowdown’ and ‘global recession’ to ‘social awareness’ and ‘social distancing’.
We have been shaken and stirred in the wake of COVID 19, and like all major or minor hurdles in our life, this too shall pass. It’s not the end, but it signals a new beginning, perhaps a clarion call for us to adapt and adopt to a rapidly changing world.
Everything has a positive side to it, so what possibilities does the Corona virus bring for all of us?
Whizzing off to attend a destination wedding or catching up with our friends and family in India and abroad, calling friends over for that impromptu get-together, or deciding to eat at a 5-star joint, various festivals – the list is endless when it comes social commitments in our lives!!
We expected all this and took it for granted…but do we realise that we need to strike a balance between our social life and personal well being. We have all felt that sometimes 24 hours is not enough and maybe an extra hour would really give us the much-needed breather.
Right now we are passing through a tunnel – but there surely is light at the end of it!
We have two options today-wallow in self pity or choose to sit down for some quiet introspection. Where is your life going? Would you like to do things differently? Do you feel you need to brush up your knowledge on investing?
When was the last time you had a quality conversation with your family? This is the time to be up close and personal with yourself.
Maybe, a bucket list would be a great idea. Health goals, financial goals, family goals could be a starting point…
