Millennium Mams’ is a Kolkata based Non Profit Organisation founded in 1993 by two visionaries – Mr. Bishnu Dhanuka and Mr. Sanjay Bhuwania with the sole motive of creating financial awareness and literacy amongst women. The organisation has since multiplied manifold and has touched the lives of over 10,000 women giving them an opportunity to build financial acumen. The curriculum imparts financial knowledge through the study of current affairs and business dailies, analysis of balance sheets, AGM participation, tracking of global economic trends, and plant visits. Since its inception, several enterprising women have become successful entrepreneurs and long–term investors with robust portfolios.
We now have chapters in Bangalore & Mumbai as well. Our training is modelled on the tenets and philosophies of long-term investment belonging Mr Warren Buffett. We have deeply imbibed his investing principles and implemented them while investing in the stock markets.
Our team with 29 women and our mentor visited the US in 2019 and were in Omaha to attend the Berkshire Hathaway Annual General Meeting. We feel proud to say that we represented India as the largest women investors’ group from India. Our visit was a major milestone for Millennium Mams! Our trip to Omaha has been covered by the prestigious publication, The Sunday Times Magazine,London. Interactive sessions with eminent personalities from all walks of life including corporate heads, authors , politicians are an integral part of the learning process for our members.
