In May 2019, 29 of our members visited the Mecca of Investing, Omaha to attend the Annual General Meeting of Berkshire Hathaway, the company promoted by legendary investor, Mr. Warren Buffet.
Before attending the Woodstock of Capitalism in Omaha, our Mams visited San Francisco where they attended a talk held by Prof Laurie Hodrick at Stanford University. They visited the Google HQ, where the VP of Google Cloud, Mr. Jason Martin enlightened them about the future of Cloud based computing. In Omaha, they attended the famous Yellow BRKers party to extended their networking opportunities. They also met Mr. Ajit Jain, the Vice Chairman of the Insurance Operations for a one on one meeting.
The highlight of the trip was attending the AGM and hearing the Oracle of Omaha, Mr, Warren Buffet and his Vice Chairman, Mr. Charlie Munger share their views on financial markets in particular and on life in general.
